I have read that the stock GT is the best buy per horse. You could upgrade cheaper than buying it with the modifications. May not apply in all situations but a lot i'm sure.

Actually I would have to say the Bullitt was the best value. If you didn't get any options...HIDs would have been mandatory for me though. Keep the Sirius and navi...

Not if you factor the available incentives into the deal. I really wanted a Bullitt when I was Mustang shopping this summer, I test drove a Bullitt and a regular GT (both stripped, the way I wanted them), and the '08 Bullitt was definitely the superior car, and would have looked great in the garage next to my '01 Bullitt. The $3000 price premium the Bullitt had on it would have been worth it to me, however Ford was offering $3000 off regular GT's, but nothing on the Bullitts. I could have had either for invoice, but the GT I ended up getting was around $6000 less than the Bullitt, and to me a Bullitt wasn't worth $6k more.
