Possibility?
This Is Just Speculation, But Has Anyone Even Considered the Possibility That Ford Just Might Be Holding Some Cards Up It's Sleeve, and Is Going To Release the New 302 Engine in The New 2010 Mustang, But Not In the GT???
Think About It... What If Ford is Going To Debut The New Higher Output (More Horsepower than the Current 4.6 GT) 302 Motor in a New 2010 Special Edition (aka: Boss 302).
Just Think About All The Hype That A New Special Edition, Reviving the Fabled Boss 302 Model Would Generate On Top of The All New Bodystyle. Along With Uprated Horsepower for the 4.6 Liter GT.
That Would Give Ford Some Time to Refine The New 302 In A Limited Production Model The Way They Improved the Performance of the 4.6 In The Bullitt.
Then They Could Add the 302 Engine as An Option for the 2011 or 2012 Model Year GT.
Sounds Like A Smart Move In My Book! But Again This Is Just Pure Speculation On My Part....

Yes, Ive thought about that, but Boomer and others with inside info are positive the
5.0 is for the 2011 GT. Now with this latest news from Brad about the 2010, Im thinking anything is possible.
It would be a hellava well kept secret not to leak out before the Nov. official release.
Can you imagine the hype if that happens....whoa!
Bring on the Boss!

I agree. A SE 5.0 late in the 2010MY then return in the GT model in the 2011MY sounds like prior practice from Ford.

I Have No Life
Doubtful, but stranger things have happened.
But...
I don't think the 5.0 is put into production until Q4 of 2009.
Unless the 2010 is an EXTENDED model year (like Feb 09 - late 10..) I don't see it happening.
Sounds like MY2010 will run begining of 09, and MY2011 will run begining of 010
Considering this is the first year of the new model, I'd think they'd want to push the V6, GT,
and leave the SE's for later (2nd/3rd year) of production. (i think someone mentioned this here before... that we probably wouldn't see an SE till at least 2011...)
Heck we're even getting the GT500 out of the gates this time, not a 2MY wait.
