Have you requested the status of your order? One would have to believe that after a month you at least have a VIN assigned along with a build week. If not, then it is likely an issue with dealer allocation, unlikely to be a regional issue outside of allocation.

 

Yeah all I get is its in order processing that's what the status has been since two days after I ordered it...I've made more phone calls in the past month then I usually do in a year and have no more info today then the day I ordered it...

 

The wait is a pain. I was also one of those people that emailed the sales manager on a weekly basis just to hear something good. I didn't get my VIN until this past friday. (10 weeks after i ordered). A nice little bit of relief but still have to wait. Build week 05/16/11. Everything else still unknown at this point. Of course, i was hoping to have my car a couple of weeks ago. Good luck and i hope you hear something soon.

I waited 10 weeks for a VIN as well.

 

i can deal with the wait kinda lol but whats killing me is that everytime i call theres another reason why its delayed...when i ordered it was 6-10 weeks then it turned into theres a fire at the plant that builds the headliners so it pushed all builds back 4 weeks then they mentioned something about no allocation for the northeast until june. i just dont know what to believe and where to go but ive also heard that after the "ok to buy" a 16-18 week wait is "absurd"

 

I always got the "5.0 engine shortage excuse" from the dealer. Who knows?

I got all of my information from Deysha and from others on this forum. My sales rep has not been helpful. I just hoping the car is built Tuesday and then ships on time. At this point I am so gun shy I just expect something to happen that will delay the car.

 

It wouldn't shock me if something did.

 

My car was built on the 19th and expected ETA is the 30th. It says Convoy on my window sticker as well. Does that mean it was sent on a truck from auto alliance to my dealership along with other Mustangs? or is there a area distrubtion for the north east that it gets to and then gets put on another truck with different types of fords and then goes to the dealership? Also wondering how many miles i should expect on my car... Do they test drive your car after its built?

They will test drive some random cars for quality assurance but certainly not all of them.
