Finally took delivery today, and I haven't stopped grinning since. Even saw 3 GTs being driven to another dealer on the way. Thanks to the whole forum for your help, especially Deysha

10 is the highest a dealer can give. A zone rep can bump you up to 1

Oh, that's really good to know. I'm gonna talk to the GM of the dealership i went through if i don't get a VIN soon. It's been too long of a wait for me. 10 weeks...

I am delivered! Dealer did the critical PDI stuff and left all the protective plastic on, let me drill my own holes for the rear plates, and left the washing to me. I'll take some before and after shots shortly.

Now to read the owners manual and figure out how all these electronic gadgets work!

Well, the car didn't arrive yesterday per the estimate and customer service is closed for Good Friday. I don't know if they'd be shipping today or not.

After a dealer trying to back away from our agreed upon price, this is the least thing that Ford can do.

My sister just happen to be visiting and was out on the major hiway and call to say she saw a big rig with some mustangs on it. even a red one. And she was right. Dealer took some pics of the car for me. Should pick it up at 5 today.

I received a VIN today with a projected build week of May 9th. Are there any cases of build weeks being pushed up?

Do not be overly concerned about the high priority number. That could just be how the dealer operates in assigning priorities. Some dealers use higher numbers in assigning priorities. If the dealer has allocation and has not assigned a a higher priority to any other order, your car will be the first one assigned a VIN and build week among that dealer's allocation. Your 55 could be assigned ahead of another dealer's 10. Here is a link to a very good explanation:

Doubtful. Be thankful your order is progressing as quickly as it is! There are some poor bastages that have been waiting for 10 weeks without even getting a VIN!

Yea, have been surfing the forums for a while now and people have been waiting a long time for there cars. The frustration of waiting does appear to disappear the minute the car is picked up though so that is a good thing. I can't wait for June when my car is delivered, not normal circumstances but I started the order process in Feb 2010. haha
