When's your ETA?

Mine is apparently only hours away from my city, but yet, might take 2 weeks to get to my dealership.

 

First it was 10/31, then 11/3, now who knows. The car was built around 10/21. This wouldn't be so bad if I was still waiting for it to be built, but now that it's sitting on some rail yard getting dirty I am starting to get anxious. Earlier this year I was near the Flat Rock plant, and the first thing I noticed about trucks rolling out of there was that the Mustangs didn't have much protective plastic on them.

Just found this forum. Hoping Deysha will be able to help me out. Ordered V-6 premium convertible on 8/9/11. My dealer keeps telling me it will go to build soon. Found out that due to the tsunami in Japan navigation units were in short supply but they were back in the Mustang factory as of last month. Now another month has passed and I am told my dealer has an allocation and the car is a priority 1. Still nothing. I have a copy of the order which I will PM to deysha.

I never ordered a car to my specs before and it seemed exciting. Now I am experiencing all of the excitement and disappointments many of you have shared here

 

Wow... I thought mine was bad. I think you ordered yours way before mine, and yours is not even built yet???? Sorry to hear bro. I hope Deysha can help you out. Like all of us, sounds like we are at the mercy of the gods

 

At first it seems the nav system was the hold up. Now I am wondering if the color of the top is the problem since you can't get "Stone" any longer in the build it feature of Ford's website. Feedback to the dealer just doesn't seem to happen. It was 2 1/2 months before my dealer was able to find out the nav system was the hold up.

When nav systems became available again from the factory in Japan, Ford allocated them to what my dealer referred to as "more popular" lines like the F-150. Dealer also mentioned that due to the tsunami paint color "Tuxedo black" was no longer available for any vehicles--the paint factory was wiped out and won't be back.

Wow. Deysha is fast! Told me scheduled to be built by 11/16 with ETA of 11/19 (but things can change). She also gave me a VIN. That's super customer service. Thanks Deysha. Hope it's OK to check again closer to delivery ETA.
