I have an issue trying to register 911 Assist and Vehicle Health Report w/SYNC. First thing I want to put out there is I registred at SYNCMYRIDE but, only for the phone and services etc. not for the 911 and VHR. I received a letter from Ford to register for 911 and VHR when I tried to register it wouldn't let me saying the email address was already registered. When I login to my SYNC account and try to add 911 & VHR it says it is not supported. I don't have the electronic package just the shaker 500 system. Am I doing something wrong or is the 911 and VHR only available with the electonic package?

I was told last week, " the web site was down". Then the guy told me there was no estimated time for when the web site would be up and running again.

I have the V6 Premium with the Shaker 500 and no Electronics Package. Based on the Message from the SyncMyRide website (shown below) I don't think it's available. Just one more let down from SYNC. Like I've said before (and will say again and again) instead of learning what SYNC will do I am having to learn what SYNC *won't* do.

This steering wheel and radio combination is not currently supported

We're sorry. The information you requested is not available for your SYNC.

There may be a few reasons for this:
  • Your SYNC may not include this feature.
  • The feature may not be available on your vehicle’s radio and steering wheel configuration

However, when checking around it shows 5 check marks for the Services available for the 2011. Which is another one of my complaints...

I have every option except the glass roof on my V-6. I get the same thing (message) you are getting. The web site is down and not working, according to the 'live chat' i did with the person working there.

Set the Points in my Cleveland with a matchbook, time it by the lack of a Gurgle with the throttle down in gear and set the idle with a screw driver and not a Computer

I have been driving it. But every once in a while I try out one of the new features that I expect it to have. I thought it would be cool to have a VHR. I don't really plan on doing them regularly or anything. But also I am a computer geek.

I've had my car for about a month and I just got around to trying the Navigation... I sat there and tried to tell SYNC the City and State. After it couldn't understand me 5 times I turned the Garmin on. I'm American, I don't have a strong accent, the town was Roanoke (so it wasn't anything too strange).

I sure wish SYNC was Linux based so some hacker types would re-write it and make it better (like DD-WRT).

That would be a plus, wouldn't it?!?!

I found you have to say things like Sync would say them back to you. With emphasis on the wrong syllables and some vowels long when they shouldn't be. Maybe Roanoke is really Row-no-key.
