Valve stem removal from wheel
Well, its not a TPMS question but it kinda is lol. I've searched all over but nothing really related to this....
I have 4 wheels with no tires and I removed the TPMS sensors. I now just have the valve stem in the wheel. Is there anyway to possibly take that out or do they need to be replaced? I tried everything but there in a pretty dam tight. I've read that it states they should be replaced at tire change, but they're really only about 2000 miles old.
So, even if I give up on these and try to find new ones how/how easily do they go in?
Also, can anyone recommend a place to purchase just the valve stem replacements? I see like rock auto but not sure if its a cheapo type. That's really all that comes up when you search.
Here's a pic of the inside of what I'm talking about, seems impossible to remove. Thanks!

New ones get installed from the back of the wheel - the side you're showing in the pic.
When a tech would remove one to throw it away, I've seen them use pliers and just pull on them from outside, but I think that was regular valve stems, not the ones with the metal stud on the back for the TPMS sensor.
If you have a tool like the one below you can try sticking it under the rubber part from the back and backing out the stem

Why do you want to replace them?
If you are wanting to mount new tires on the wheels just go ahead, nothing wrong with that. You can even mount new sensors on those stems if you're putting them back on a Mustang with that style TPMS.

I re-used mine when I switched out the summer-only Pirellis for the all-season tires at 4200 miles
Now at 11,400 miles, no issues.

Replacement of valve stems should be done at "Every tire change" which constitues much more mileage than the OP has on his stems. I would just leave them there.

Working in a primarily tire shop you see a bunch with valve stems leaking due to age

Thanks for the replies.
The reason they are coming out is because my wheels were warrantied (CDC, great guys to deal with btw). So I am shipping mine back and have a new set ready. Hence why I was trying to swap them over. I just had no background on this stuff. Now I see that they are difficult to remove, I'll just get new ones.
I've seen those stems at auto stores etc, but was wondering if they were too cheap and I should stick to Ford ones, if they even make OE ones. Probably only sold with TPMS if I know Ford.

And, had we known the issue was to swap them over to new wheels then there wouldn't be any question about not reusing them.
I would still leave them in the wheels if you are sending them back, why worry about them if you're not using them any more?

And that was the original question, if they were actually removable. If they were easily removed, I'd reuse them, which is what I was hoping to do. That way I wouldn't have to get new ones and could just have tires mounted right away instead going out and getting/ordering the stems.
Thanks for all the replies so far.
