Is there a difference?

I've been looking at pics after seeing the new rear was available on the b&p site for the mustang.

I can't tell a difference between the gt and the gt500 bottom piece. Am I missing something?

Well I hope you realize that the GT500 piece is a vertical diffuser, and the GT is just horizontal slots. If that's the answer you're looking for... Both of which probably offer 0% performance and are purely cosmetic.

If you're wondering why it doesn't show up when you click it on the website... probably because it's a tech thing and is just a bug / work in progress as its what, only been added for 5 days now.

I don't think they will be changing the pic of the rear facia installed on the car on the B&P site, they probably figure you can't see it well enough to tell the difference.

The GT500 facia looks more functional and they call it a "Diffuser" as if it actually helped airflow. It also has larger cutouts for the exhaust tips if you want to run 4" tips. It actually looks a little strange with the stock GT tips sticking through it.

I really like the GT500 over the GT, I had to change it out to put the Duals on my 2010. I paid $126 for it from my local Ford dealer, a little more than the GT but I do like it better.
Also to those that plan on doing this at home, you will need to pick up the 2 extra plastic push Pins for mounting it and an extra hour of your time.
I also went from this

1 of these days I will get the 2010-11 GT500 mufflers, they do fill it up better.
My tips are almost invisible now, they are off a 2008 and are 1 inch shorter and tuck up under the bumper nice.
