The site people CHOSE the 25... ...we are supposed to vote which of the 25 we like best. And we are allowed one vote per day.

I also never saw my entry on the site. I read the rules and followed them. It took a couple days to get my story the way I wanted it to appear. The picture which I used I had took using my tripod the same day that I submitted my entry. The rules stated that " the photo/essay must be entrant's original work" and "must not include anyone other than the entrant". I was appauled that many of the final 25 entries are using "previously exhibited or displayed photos'. I also had issues witht he site sending me a confirmation for my submission before I completely submitted my entry. Since my entry was never posted I am going to post it on here. I have never been much on posting on blogs so I'm not sure if my link will take to my picture I used. If not, you can view it on my Member Album for ATIME4TIM listed as "HAD TO MAKE HER MINE". I still love my Mustang and I have never owned a vehicle that not only put a smile on my face everytime I get behind the wheel, but also did the same for people who see it, ride in it or even drive it. This contest did leave a bitter taste in my mouth due to the fact I am not one to enter many contests but that they didn't even follow their own rules. My entry is below.

HAD TO MAKE HER MINE
At the time, my 40th birthday was coming up
and I wanted to recapture my youth just as Ford was doing.
I just had to have the redesigned Mustang. It was a no-brainer.
The designers at Ford were paying homage to the original Mustang
and I was like a kid in a candy store when viewing the spy shots.
For months I gathered every bit of information available.
I not only had built my own virtual model from the Ford website
but also searched the local dealers’ inventories.
Valentine's Day of 2005 I ran across the Mustang I desired.
It was nothing out of the ordinary in the way of options, but it had what I wanted.
A Mineral Gray metallic V6 Deluxe Coupe
with the rear spoiler, Black tape stripe and the Premium polished wheels.
It reminded me of "Eleanor" in "Gone in 60 Seconds."
Just where do I sign? I was already sold and I hadn't even driven it yet.
Little can compare to that first moment when you see the Mustang you want to make your own.
Thanks Ford.

The site wasnt working for me yesterday, so here:

In 1998 I got my mustang when I was 16. It was a stock 1994 rio red v6 convertible. Though used, it was still the current body style. The one thing that set it apart from others was that it had factory red interior. Apparently they only offered it on 94-95 models, and it was very limited.

This car is very special to me as I have done everything in this car. I have shared with it a lot of memories. I have driven to FLandCA in it. I drove it in my high school's homecoming parade. I dated my spouse in it. It even took us to our honeymoon. Drive-in restaurants, drive-thru movie theaters, everything. Its won car shows, and autocross events. I told my dad the day before he past away that I would never sell it, ever.

It had 168,000 miles on it and still running like a champ. But being that it was a high mileage v6, and being a show car, I swapped the motor for a rebuilt 302 5.0 with a cobra intake, GT-40p heads, shorty headers, e303 cam. Other performance modifications include Mach brake calipers, slotted rotors, flowmasters, KYB GR-2 struts, 3:73 gears, t-lok and 17x9 & 17x10.5 cobra R rims.

My mustang kind of pays tribute to mustangs of yesterday and today. It had 1968 fender emblems. The block is from an 86. The hood and wheels represent the 95 Cobra R's. I have a 2001 radio bezel, 2003 brake calipers, and 2005 seats.

Was it hard to get the 2005+ seats in there? What all did you have to do? I haven't seen that on a SN95 before. Good work. Any pics???

The brackets had to be swapped and new holes had to be drilled. And wires had to be spliced so the new controllers would work. The passenger seat touches the door panel a little.

Thanks. I have seen SN-95 seats in a fox. If they fit, I would think these would fit. Id measure the width though. 21st century american butts are much larger than those from the 80s
