Tent/Stripe Pricing

I just recently bought a 2012 Race Red Ford Mustang. I'm definitely going to get some White Stripes put on it as well as tint the windows. However, this is my first time doing this so I need some help and have a few questions.

Stripes:
I've called around today and gotten prices ranging from $80-$500
It's all affordable, the only thing is I don't want to overpay or get taken advantage due to my lack of knowledge.
I found some Glossy White GT 500 vinyl stripes online for $114. How much is a reasonable price to pay for them to be installed on my car?

Tint:
I know absolutely nothing about tinting cars, because my previous purchases have already had tinted windows. So my question is what percentage would you recommend? And what's the average prices?

Thanks!
- Elijah

well if you set up the tent within which to do the striping, it will be a lot cheaper than paying someone BUT, i took mine to a professional wrapper (not Rapper, to be clear), and paid less than a 1000 for custom graphics and installation. Good quality vinyl and a pro who guaranteed his work.

There are a lot of guys on this forum that have installed the stripes themselves actually. if you have the patience. Make sure you measure twice and mark once !

to proper install full body stripe it took 3 hrs n i was charged 250 labor. i got the stripes from ebay... u need to take good care of it to have them last longer... i hav seen bubbles n fading on all if these are not well cared for.

tinting is simple.. u decide the % u want (make sure its legal) 5 - 35% lower % means it will allow less light to come through... just search ur state legal limits before u go to tint installer. i dd 25% all around...i wouldnt recomend going lower than legal limit as even with 25% i got pulled over for it... so this is not something u can sneak past radar with.

there are few good manufacturers out there are Llumar, 3M and if you have hot summer like we do in texas then go with ceramic coated or the ones that prevent not only light but also heat.. it works perfect.
installing depends on the material of film labor comes around 80 - 100$.. i used llumar ceramic one it costed all together around 240.

What did you like about it? My local shop uses Suntek. Never had any complaints, but curious if the carbon tint is worth the extra money.
