Tape stripe discolored

Hey, All. I've got a 2013 GT that came equipped with a front to rear white tape stripe. For some reason one section, and only one, has taken on a brownish tinge, like someone sprayed it with an airbrush

I've tried washing it, polishing compound without effect. I know, replace it but I live in a option-free zone as far as body repair options are concerned most especially tape repairs. Ideas?

Re-phrase: a land of limited options. No one does tape striping locally and when I had to have a repair done due to wind-blown debris damage the guy had to come from 60 miles away and was talking retirement even then.

If you get the piece from Ford it is easy enough to do by yourself and it is precut so it is remove, clean area with Alcohol and wet with water and apply. You can watch YouTube vids but it really is pretty easy.
