I hope the first pic isn't what they end up with for the 2009 update, imo, that is butt-ugly

I hope not. I've alway's found T-tops give a car a trashy/ugly appearance. The vert does just fine for those who want more fresh air.

If Ford even thinks about it, they should look at T-top sale's figures in the past, including the competition. Then realize the development/production tooling money would be better spent somewhere else. Are you listening Ford? We want more horsepower.

 

Personaly I'd love t-tops as long as they were done right but then I'm biased as I did those. I think T-tops are a grat comprimise between verts and coupes. If I only have a vert and a coupe to choose I'd take the coupe but if there was a glass t-top option..I'd be all over that.

Just for some history on those images. A member here named Chazcron did a 3d model of the new mustang...back in 2003 before the first photos were leaked. I then asked him for a couple angles so i could mess with them an wam that's what you have now. Those are basically chops of the 3d model.

 

i think the t tops would be a pretty nice too. it just would add to there long list of body styles

I'm all for t-tops! or a targa top would be sweet. as long as they go well with the body style and don't have the leaking problems like they did when the 80's stangs had them.
