SYNC will not save phone settings
SYNC will not save phone settings
There is a setting within SYNC while connected to Bluetooth devices to ignore phone notifications. Each time I connect my phone I have to go into SYNC options and disable this feature otherwise SYNC will interrupt whenever I recieve a text message. Each time I reconnect the option has been re-enabled.
It's done this to me on 3 different phones so I am 100% sure it's a SYNC issue. It never used to do this when I bought the car. I've pulled the battery for 20+ minutes on two separate occasions and I've also reset SYNC within the settings. I've done everything except for pull the SYNC fuse which I cannot find/easily access on the passenger side of the car.
Any ideas? If I really need to pull the fuse, does anyone have any pictures on how to access the passenger side fuse box?

Am I having déjà vu? I know I've seen this posted somewhere else!

I'll respond here as well just in case others are experiencing something similar. Which type of phone is being connected to SYNC?

I've noticed this as well, but only when the phone first connects. I have text notifications set to OFF. But it still notifies me of text messages when the phone first connects. It doesn't do it again for the duration of the ride. HTC One M8, which is due for a Lollipop upgrade here shortly. I dread doing the update. I was hoping for a SYNC update to fix some of these issues when the 2015 models hit. But apparently not.

Since the setting seems to stick after the phone establishes a connection, I don't recommend changing any settings within SYNC. Try removing the battery/resetting your phone to improve the Bluetooth connection with the system. This may help with that initial delay that you've described. It can't hurt to try; right?

My SYNC Notification feature for my text messages does not work properly either. It sounds off randomly when I receive a text and sometimes it doesnt sound off when I receive a text.
Also, when I say "Call Wife" it asks me if i'd like to call "Michael" or another name about 80 percent of the time. So i usually end up dialing my wife's phone number.

Do you have trouble with other voice commands as well, or just this one? Is your wife's phone number listed in the phonebook as MY WIFE or WIFE?
