Lol, thanks.

By the way, my new oil will be here tomorrow ... I'll take pics of the bottles for ya ... they put the customer's name on the label that gets glued to the bottles ... lol

And when I was using it in the Charger, his oil was still clear at 5-7,000 miles of usage ... oil consumption was also down a BUNCH when compared to Mobil 1 5W20, which I was losing at a rate of about a quart per 1,000 miles.
Granted, I switched to the Mobil 1 after my heads/cam work was done, and cammed cars supposedly use some oil, but everybody said a qt / 1k miles was excessive

Is it cheaper?
Is it greener?

Does it do anything special?

It's not cheaper, although it does last longer in-between changes.
The oil is rated for 10k-12k miles or 2 years.
The trans/diff fluids are rated for 40k miles.

Greener? No idea. it's fully synthetic oil, whatever that means for its green-ness.

Does it do anything special?
Yeah, makes me really good at jumping a jump-rope

Are you going to go 10-12k or 2 years?

No but I'm probably gonna go 7500 this time and have it tested, then share the results with BND and see if they have to make any adjustments to the formula for my application, then probably go longer, especially after the used-oil test results come back.

As a side note, this is the UOA for the oil I had in my '07 Charger's engine after about 7800 miles ... notice that they recommended going 9,000 next time :

Isn't 7500 ford's recommendation anyway?

Especially the way we drive these things ...

Are these sample numbers showing bearing wear?

What's the rationale for a 12.5w-43 blend specifically, over one of the spec'ed 5w-20 or 5w-50 weights?

I know one of the Amsoil guys over on SVTperf swears by 10w-30/40 in the Coyote, but I've never seen truely intermediate blends like yours.

Brian @ BND explained it to me but I forgot a bunch of it ... basically a narrower spread means that more lubricants can be used in the formulation of the oil and not so many additives, since the oil doesn't have to act like a 5-weight all the way to a 50-weight.
And since the Motorcraft 5w50 quickly shears down to a 40-weight anyway, these engines really don't need a 50-weight oil.
And the 12.5 will flow no-problem all the way down to 25 degrees below zero, so no issues there since I'm not moving to Alaska anytime soon ... lol
