Swearing off Koni's

I wanted to share my story of multiple issues with Koni quality. I bought a set of Koni STR.T's back in February, and put them on my car with steeda sport springs in late March. After install I had the most annoying squeak from both front struts. American Muscle was great about it, and send out replacements right which I had to wait a few weeks for. Upon arrival one of the two replacements did not expand when I took it out of the box. At that point I was do with Koni and wanted all of them off my car!

I called AM again and after a lengthy conversation I decided on the Eibach Pro Dampers on all 4 corners. I just installed them tonight and the quality is top notch. I would say it rides better that the STR.T's ever did and I had them on for over a month. I think the Eibach Pro Dampers are a great match for anyone considering the Steeda Sport spring, and are looking for shocks and struts to pair with them.

Just my .02.

I am happy to report that the squeak is compleatly gone.

I, too, have the Eibach Pro dampers. I actually went with the entire kit (springs, dampers, sways). I track my car a few times per year, and the handling is fantastic on the road course, and only firm on the street. It is not slammed, and not too aggressive. Plus they have a great warranty. A ton of TMS users have installed the Koni dampers with great success. I think they ran into a bad run off the assembly line this year.

No problems with my non adjustable Koni's here. I guess there has to be a few duds out there.

I just installed a set of str.t's on my Fox Mustang. I love them! Not harsh like the originals. I know this is a different chassis, but the quality of the Konis seems top notch.

Also on STR.T's - no issues.

But good to hear the Eibach's are of good quality though for when I upgrade to adjustable (hopefully soon)
