STOP THE PRESSES -- My ride is here!
Yeah, I felt compelled to come back into the office and get some work done since I spent nearly 4 hours at the dealer today.
It's a blast to drive. The V6 has GOOD power. Not the amazing power of the 5.0 but still very good. The pull above 3500 RPM is wicked good. Below 2500, it might as well be a 4 banger.
Brakes are excellent. Handling seems way better than the floaty rental-car image of the past.
MPGs. . . let's not go there just yet. It's been in the mid 90's and I've spent A LOT of time just sitting in the A/C figuring the EP out.
On the plus side, I'll get to see how good/bad/average the headlights are now.

Sounds like Ford has hit a homerun with this new car.
I got it up to 80 last night before I realized how fast I was going -- power delivery is THAT smooth.
I will be all over northern MI: *******, East Jordan, Petoskey, Charlevoix, Boyne City, Traverse City and everywhere in between. Maybe even a trip up to Mackinac Island. I just need to avoid those darn deer.
And Larry, you have great taste!
I've got a question, Corvettedreamin. I know the Pony Package and MCA edition have higher performance tires than the standard V6. I'm wondering if they therefore have a higher setting for the speed limiter or if it's the same as the standard V6 model, which I think is at about 116 mph or so.
There aren't very many 2010+ 'stangs around here yet. They do stand out.

I'll head up 4th of July weekend just because there's not enough traffic in DC and I want to find the northbound I-75 traffic in Michigan. . .
Well, if you decide to swing up 75, shoot me a PM and let me know a little more when you're coming.

Will do, Steve. I'll likely be in MI just after lunch on Saturday.

Only someone who's lived there would understand that. Awesome.
