STOP THE PRESSES -- My ride is here!
OK, just back from the dealer after a nearly 4 hour lunch hour.
The car is great. I absolutely love it. Yes, it's worth the wait. No, I'm not happy about the experience.
For the naysayers on the electronics package, boo on you!
This thing ROCKS. The amount of technology in these cars is crazy. MyColor is very cool. The seats are very comfortable. The stone interior is perfect. The clutch and transmission are the slickest I've ever driven. Way better than my 'vette or CTS-V.
One of the first things I did was to burn the Iron Man 2 CD to the hard disk. It runs in the background. While that was going on I was listening to the salesman tell me about all the sync and nav functions. I had to have my "take off" song ready: War Machine by AC/DC.
Got the G1 all linked up via Bluetooth with no issues.
No spare tire. But I did learn there's a fuel filler spout (the capless thing kind of requires it if you run out of gas and want to put a hose into the tank.)
Ford really paid attention to the DRIVER for this car. Everything is where it should be.
I also struck a GREAT deal on the 6 yr/100k miles, $100 deductible Ford ESP premium care. They started at >$1700. I got it for $1000.
More pics to follow but I really needed to get back to the office.

I think I might get the 7 year/36k ( don't drive a lot) ESP with a ZERO dollar deductible (extracare) for only $540. What a bargain. I won't even consider from the dealer; get it from Ford direct.
I had 6 yr/36k on my truck. Just about right. The only reason I go longer when I guy them normally is the transferability. If I decide to sell the car (especially with all the doodads), a warranty is a nice thing to include. As for that $540... check with Troy. I'm betting he can beat that. Easily.
I would also like to thank everyone for their kind words regarding my new Mustang. As someone who has been a prolific whiner about the delays, it feels good to get the car and share it with everyone here. Now I should only whine about Joker whining.
i wish i had a drug i could inject that would make me forget about this stupid car until it arrives. the days are passing by so slowly and it probably won't even ship until next week, IF THAT. some dude who had his car built on my same day said his was a problem unit and wouldnt be shipped till LATE JULY
if anyone sees any dealers with glass roof manual gt's, please send the links my way...

Can't shake the feeling that those of us who are still waiting are losing a major ally, though.
