Steeda Review - All Watt’s Linkages are Not Created Equal

Steeda Autosports has the most technologically advanced and best performing suspension upgrade you can provide for your 2005 through current Mustangs –

The Steeda Watt’s Linkage. Designed, engineered, and manufactured under strict ISO 9001-2008 Certified Procedures, it sets the benchmark for Watt’s Linkage suspension systems. When you consider purchasing a Watt’s Linkage, do not be fooled by advertising hype into thinking that all Watt’s Linkage systems are the same – because they are not.

As part of our continuing documentaries on Mustang performance parts, we are going to expose the differences between the Steeda and Brand “X” Watt’s Linkages so you, the consumer, can make an intelligent purchase decision.

Best Regards,

TJ

Did anyone here know that Lakewood makes one? I know - I was surprised too.

Hmmm makes me wonder if Steeda's is better then Brand "X", then how much better is Cortex and Griggs from Steeda? Wonder if there is a comparison out there.

Well, it' just marketing, and you can't really blame them for that. Truth be told, Steeda has a **** good rep amd they have every right to point it out. Their post-sales service is exceptional too.

Because of it's price, Steeda's watts link is competing against the ones that require a diff cover change (which are generally more expensive than the Fays style, and also require a diff cover change which can push you into a more extreme autocross class - if it's even allowed).

I think the Steeda part is a better design than Fays, but I personally don't think the "better" is worth the extra $500 over the cost of the Fays. I got a Fays because of the price, and Jim Fay's post-sales service is great too (but his website truly sucks).

^^ You have a watts link now?

(Their rep can be awesome, but to act like their **** doesn't stink is annoying)

Right. They laid out their design points without trashing a particular brand. Professional and informative. If somebody wants to whine about that then don't click the link.

Interesting marketing brochure from a paid advertiser. Anyone seen an independent review? I googled it, but didn't turn up any articles (just a few forum posts with opinions).
