SR lowering springs

So I picked up a set of SR lowering springs from AM.com back on Black Friday. In the description it states that with 2011+ stangs they will need upper strut mounts and dampeners. Both which are sold separately. I have been planning on or ding those parts and having them put on, followed by an alignment. However. I hear that its a bad idea to lower the car without changing the shocks and struts. My car has less than 5000 miles on it. So the factory ones should still have tons of life in them.

My question is how necessary is it to change the shocks and struts at the same time as lowering the car?

And also are there any other considerations to take in account prior to having it lowered?

My car is a 2014 3.7 daily driver. I'm just looking for a good looking stance. Not much into performance.

Thanks for any input! Sorry if this post seemed noobish!
