Hey Clue,

Please check with your Ford dealer to see if they have that support piece at hand for you, if it's not in your trunk.

Doug:

I'm a newbie, so I might be responding in the wrong area, but you sound like an expert. Just got a 2012 Kona Blue V6 manual with perf package. There's so much traffic on the temporary mobility kit that I'm getting lost. With the perf package the wheels are 255/40R19s. Simple question - Can I get a spare tire for this that is operationally safe for 50 - 100 miles?

Thanks Much, Dave

2011 V6 spare tire kit

Bad news sports fans! I got the Ford p/n off of this thread and went to my local Ford dealer today. They advised that this p/n is now discontinued by Ford. They said there might be some Ford dealers who still have one in stock. Good hunting and hope no one gets a blowout or sidewall gash 'cause that inflator kit just won't cut it.

It's been awhile since this thread was active, but wanted to come back and say, my spare was so worth it.. I ended up needing it this year and it saved me from needing a tow and/or new TPMS sensor! So glad it worked out and Ford got smart enough to start at least offering it as an option on new cars..

Well, sooner or later, there will be a bunch of these Mustangs in the boneyard. Some will have the spare tire contents in their trunk. At that point, those of us who do not have it, casn buy the pieces from there.

I just took a big gulp, whipped out the plastic card, and ordered a fifth Torq Thrust "Bullitt" and Michelin radial. I'm not putting my faith in that 21st century bicycle pump.
