LOL!

Measured with the engine out of the car of course.

Put the engine IN your car, and account for the normal drivetrain loss of power, and then measure it... You'll find the GT RWHP is closer to 270hp at around 5,000-5,500 RPM. The V6 is right about the same, but at 6,300 RPM, and by 6,300 RPM the V8 has lost close to 20HP.

I'm not arguing with you. Just giving you the correct stats for your calculations.

I think we can both agree that each car has its merits

Man, I love the 10 Gt's. I would of bought a 10 Gt in a heartbeat if I could of gotten a new one for what I paid for my 11 new. I got my 11 v6 in October 2010 and not any base model 10 GTs left. Lol

I wanted a 10 gt when I bought my 12 gt. In California, the used 10s were only a couple of grand cheaper than what I paid for my 12. I couldn't find a dealer that wanted to move on price. I think the 10-12 body looked best. Whether it's a 11v6 or 10 gt, they are both great cars.

Back in October 2010 my wife and I began looking for our mustang. We only wanted to be around 23k and wanted a 10 body style. A pre owned older GT was not an option because I was not a fan of the 09 and under exterior. Not talking smack about them, we just loved the exterior body of the 10 plus.

All the left over 10 Gt's were fully loaded and had MSRP's of 36k plus. For that price I could of purchased an 11 Gt but only wanted to spend around 23k. Granted the rebates on the 10 models were more than the 11 models but no way I was getting a loaded , new 10 Gt for 23k. Heck I wasn't getting it for 25k so 11 v6 was all she wrote.

I was in the same boat. I think the 4.6 is enough power for a vert cruiser and has the sound of the V8.

Hello all, I just got my 2010 mustang v6 torch red used. I knew about the engine change before I went out and purchased the 10. However, the 2010 was the only one in my price range with the mileage I wanted and with the red color. I really enjoy the car it is a lot more fun than my 2000 ford focus. I know the 2010 V6 gets ragged on a lot, but I have really been enjoying it. Down the line when I get the better paying job and pay off the student loans I hope to be the lucky owner of a red GT.

That's what it's all about, just enjoying your car. I loved my first mustang ('79 with a 4 banger) until I blew up the engine, then I dropped a 302 in it and loved it even more).

I love my '10 GT and don't care whether it is 315 or 420 HP. it's fast enough for me in the real world. having the same engine as my truck makes maintenance much easier for me.

Something I have learned about my 2010 GT Convertible is I have the tendency to want to mod it and make it more aggressive. At the end of the day I do not do it because it's a cruiser. If I had a fast back with a 5.0 I might go crazy but I know what kind of car I have even in the Mustang world.

Did you convert the rear to the 13-14 tail lights?

nice, you did the quad exhaust tips with a gt500 diffuser.

I did a 13 rear end conversion myself but don't wan to do quad tips b/c I love my Roush axlebacks too much.

I dig the styling of the '10.

In October of '13 I found this GT Premium on a dealer lot in Reading, Pa. It had been sitting unsold more than 5 months, and the dealer wanted to unload it before it sat for another 4 or 5 months in winter. Used ragtops are tough to move with bad weather coming, especially in Pennsylvania.

It had 17,800 miles, certified, clean Carfax, and the price was reduced to $22,800. The dealer was anxious to sell. As you can see, the car was amazing. The only down side was the automatic. I left a deposit, arranged for a small loan, and came within a hair's breadth of pulling the trigger. I got cold feet at the last minute. I really wanted a stick. I ended up getting my '14 GT Premium 'vert seven months later.

But man, was this car nice. If it had a manual tranny, it'd be mine now and my screen name wouldn't be TripleBlack14.
