At least weekly, provided no other opportunities confront me.

These engines beg to be revved to 7k rpm. I probably touch redline a couple times a day when I take out the mustang. On track days, well what's the point in counting there.

I regularly test that the tachometer turns red as you approach redline.

Sheesh!

What's the point of having a Mustang if you can't play hard with it sometimes?

Just came back from the store and I ran it up to the limiter in 2nd going under the highway overpass and rattled all the other cars windows with my Outlaws!!!

Well Gran Turismo & Need for Speed taught me to always redline it!... Are y'all saying that's not correct?

I step on it at opportune times when I drive her.... quite often actually. As far as actually HITTING redline, I try to shift right before getting there. A few times, I realize I'm not a pro race car driver, so I shift too late, and I do bang it off the limiter

Either way, it's a blast to hear my Borlas sing... esp next to unsuspecting motorists who get their ears blasted.

Same here. I've got my shift light/tone set at 5800 so by the time I shift its just under the limiter without hitting it.

No fair... You Shelby owners get a programmable shift light we just get a red gauge cluster around 6900 right?

When I put gauges in a shift light will probably be part of the package. After driving with one in a friends car recently I really like it. Very functional for certain purposes

I agree... I wish there was someway I could adjust the red gauge light in us GT premium folks to light up at a different specific custom rpm....

The one in the 500 isn't that great really. You have to really watch for it. The SVT logo in the middle of the tach lights up orange/red when it hits what you have it set for. It has a tone that goes off too (like the seatbelt chime, headlight chime, etc.) but at that RPM you can't really hear it because of the blower whine and exhaust.

You're too modest. Sounds great! Someday, I hope to migrate to a Shelby or just get a TVS blower on mine. For now ~420hp should keep me satiated...
