I find the limiter on my 1-2 shift if I blow the tire off, all the other gears I go around 7000ish

Asuming you hit the sweet spot to keep in the TQ band. Which is probably obvious for most folks whom will read this. :-)
^strongly disagree with this

I hit redline alot completely agree with it actually being good for the internals of bottom end not so much on the top end but still. One mechanics opinion is going to be different from mine though I suppose.

Hmm, well...when it comes to promoting engine life. I cant say I have ever met anyone whom would recommend driving your car to the redline on a regular basis...or at all for that matter. Until now.

That's sad. Esp driving a Boss.

Weren't you ever in hs and took mom or dad's auto and floored it until the trans shifted? You were hitting redline.

As for these days, you are hangin with the wrong crowd if they only baby their engines.

You need to ditch those grandma's and meet some hot rodders.

Oh, don't get me wrong I am on the redline as much as I possibly can be while racing. In fact it's the best way for me to know how fast i'm really going since there is no time to look at my speedo on course.

Consequently I try to be nicer to the Boss when on the street...but I have no illusion about the potential/inevitable result of my actions...
