I have the sensors in my car. I really enjoy them, I got them mostly because they came with the security package though. I didn't opt for the camera because I wanted the pedestal spoiler. I plan to add an aftermarket camera though. With the pedestal spoiler the sight line is very high and tough to see much behind you. Especially at a low level. Overall, it's what you feel. I have had some people say to me they don't like the sensors because they're too noticeable and distract from the sexy look of our cars rear. I have found he sensors to be very helpful. It's not am addition that is completely necessary, just very very handy.

i guess i didnt realize that the stock spoiler was different than the one with the camera...does anyone have direct comparison pics of the two from different angles? i though the spoiler was the same, just with a camera in it.

Curious why some people say get both?

I opted for just the camera, and not the sensors. I figured if I could see it through the camera, I'm not going to hit it.
As for the extra security, maybe that's the draw of getting the backup sensors in addition to the camera? (though then why get the camera?).

Justin, the reason I got both was the sun can wash out the image in the mirror at times (ours is a convertible). If I was going to do without one it would be the camera. It's good Ford offers them separately so folks can make the choice as they want

Good question. I honestly got the sensors mainly for the security pkg that they're included with. But now that I have them I love them. The camera is awesome but sometimes depth is an issue. The audible beep works great in conjunction with the camera.

get both.... I have a 2014 Vert and that back window is not very big and hard to see out of.... with the Nav the backup screen is very good..... I back into the garage and use the camera every day....
The sensors are also good..... was backing out of a parking stall the other day..... watching the camera and the sensors go off.... a car had started to drive by and had not yet been seen in the camera but the sensors gave warning first before the car showed in the camera.....
