Shocks and struts options?

Hello,

I have a 2013 vet, 19 in wheels, SVC lowering springs and J&M adjustable Panhard Rod. I would like to upgrade my shocks and struts. I live in Ohio so our rods are terrible. What is the best most comfortable set up for a street use for reasonable price? I am not going to the track etc. Comfort is the most important to me.
Thanks

We like the Koni STR.T's, they're very comfortable while also being able to control and support lowering springs. Bilstein monotubes are also very popular options but are more than twice the cost of the STR.T's. Let us know if we can help you out!

I'm in Ohio also and I'm going to go with Steeda's Pro Action shocks and struts and their Sport springs. I think they are a pretty even compromise for comfort and performance.

I live in Michigan. Our roads are even worse. I'd call them strips of uneven, crumbling chunks of concrete, not roads. And I don't think there are shocks good enough to deal with our car-eating pot holes Unless you drive a Humvee.

I'm running the Koni STR.T's that I picked up from Jay at Hypermotive for a great deal.

I am more than pleased with them. The car handles loads better than stock and ride is comparable to stock. It is more firm but not jarring, it just feels more solid.

I'm also on Michigan roads....horrible, horrible roads.

In Minnesota we have two seasons. Winter......and road repair!

Curious on this thread and will follow. Would like to do similar. Lower possibly, improve handling but not kill the ride comfort too much since mines a daily driver.

I have the koni sports and love them. You can leave them on full soft for daily driving comfort and change settings for weekend canyon carving. It's like having two cars. I had a few moments of buyers remorse that quickly went away. The konis are a bit pricey but very good. The strt konis are also an excellent choice and a good deal cheaper. I like the lifetime warranty and Jay at hypermotive totally took care of me. He's a good resource for advice and won't recommend anything you don't actually need.

I have Koni Str.ts paired with Steeda sport springs and they are great for a car that is a DD and will also see the track.

Also picked up the STR.Ts from Jay, and they have been great so far!

+1 on the SRT.T dampers. I used these on the parental unit's GT when it came time to replace them and in combination with my take off GT500 sway bars with excellent results.

Its a shame I couldn't talk the parent unit into a set of springs as well and while it might not have been available at the time. I see Koni now offers the SRT.Ts with matched H&R springs.

Thank you all for response. I was looking into Koni STR.T's but lot of people said that they dont see any difference over stock, and that worries me. Whats the point of replacing factory stocks if you dont see any upgrade in comfort.

there is no point if you don't see improvements. But I can tell you, with my SR springs and str.t's, it's pretty close to stock. Without replacing the springs, it'd be much better than stock. Many people are lowering their car while adding shocks/struts, and that will make it dam near impossible to handle better, while adding more comfort lol.

Yep. This.

I just literally replaced mine with Koni yellows from jay and dan from hypermotive. Couldn't be happier. I just did a thread on this. Lol.
