+1. Just because it's a V6 doesn't mean it has to look like one. This is mine...

Nice looking car until you crank it up. IMO.

I wouldn't crank it either because of all the people running up to it just to get a glimpse of that beautiful car. It's safer to just sit and enjoy the compliments.

nothing we say will help you magically afford a v8 or suddenly fall in love with v6's.

Buy a v6, enjoy the car, realize that's all you can afford, and move on.

Try and find a CD that has V8 engine sounds on it and listen to it while you drive.

I want a Lamborghini LP670-4 SV, but I can't afford one right now, so I will just have to settle for buying used in a few years.

I rather hear "I want a V8" over "The V6 is JUST as good" or "my v6 is almost as fast". Its also better then all of the threads that get messed up by v6 owners that pop in and start talking junk.

Yes, I would have preferred to get a GT, but gas prices and the price of the car forced me to economize, especially since I wanted to do so much to it. Besides all that, being on the downhill run to 60, my reflexes aren't what they used to be, so a GT would have just been a bad idea overall (not to mention an almost complete waste of machinery on an old fart like me).

also.. super glue and body panels to not a GT make. I am sorry but all you have done is make a slower heavier V6. But I know you are happy with it so im happy for you.

I still do not understand how the V6 guys are jumping all over this guy for wanting bigger and yes Better! He is working on getting what he wants and the first thign out of some of your mouths is "why" or "my cars just as good".. I mean really! sme of you kinda make me sick.

that's not even the case. 90% of the time it's v8 guys going into v6 only threads and posting things to fuel the fire. No the v6 is not as fast when you compare like 2013 v8 to 2013 v6 or 1998 v8 to 1998 v6. If you got the v6 to go fast you're doing it wrong.

Can't we all just love each other and hate on the tank the challenger is and laugh at the joke the new camaros are?

...That's because most of the people posting are just breaking 20 years of age. My advice is to go ***** deep, get a V8, supercharge it while your at it. However, listen to the older crowd and just be sure you're not setting yourself up for debt because tastes change, women come and go and crap happens.

I say he needs to "get it out of his system now" while he's young otherwise he will end up one of those divorced, white haired old men driving their shiny new Corvettes up and down the university strip.

I like my V6. I like the fact that its faster than anything else I have owned. I will admit that my parents old corvette 350 V8 did make the experience way more exciting. I didn't buy my vert v6 because I couldn't afford the v8. I could have had anything and been fine. I bought what I wanted. I also know thru my car history I made a lot of dealerships rich because I waffled and bought things to get by until I found exactly what I wanted. I don't feel bad about anyone getting hosed. when I got my mustang I got a loaded v6 vert for 28k. So what they are offering may not be that unreasonable. I guess the point is if you want to change go and do it, but I really wouldn't go underwater just to pull it off.

My best deal ever was trading a 2010 Prius in for my mustang after 7 months of ownership and still walking away a winner.

I usually don't like white cars, but yours is a winner. Looks great.

We might have only "10 less horse power" than the 2010 GT, but they have torque everywhere which makes up for everything else.
Not entirely. I would say the driver's ability comes first, and then torque second. Unless of course we are talking about significant differences in torque. I raced a supercharged 2003 2 valve Mustang GT against my V6 at my track and beat him by 2/100ths of a second. Does he have more torque? I would certainly assume so.

My v6 has let loose on many older GTs as well. (Yes 05-10) however, I'm always afraid to post it because people get so d@mn offended. Thats the sucky part of the forum in general. The immaturity is overwhelming at times.

Not to stir the pot but if I bought if I bought a 2010 GT, I would regret it. I would kick myself everyday because who the hell knew that the next years model would be so drastically different? Theres so much win in the 2011 and up mustangs in general. Besides paying on a relatively new car note when i could be driving the 5.0...The worse feeling would be knowing that my v8 had roughly the same hp as a current v6....And it was a v8!

Point is: its the opposite for me because I'd feel ripped off with the more expensive GT.

What if ford starts supercharging the new 15 and up mustangs similar to the Shelby's? Will all the 5.0 owners unload their rides?

The reason you beat the 2005-10 is due to bad drivers.

Who knows, they may be thinking SVO in the near future. So maybe a turbo'd four and a V8?

Does anyone really care about how many cylinders any car has or do they care more about the performance? I'd take a turbocharged 4 cylinder and never look back. No shame in the 21st century, gas prices, and Obama.
