I've seen jerk service advisors at both places (who hasn't) and various attempts to rip folks off; stupid salesmen, rude sales managers, etc everywhere. and I've seen **** good ones as well. I don't have a clue - but my wife wants a Lexus IS250 and I'm trying to point her toward an American car - Montego, MKZ, 500, CTS, etc. She still thinks American cars are not so good in the long haul. Beats me how I'm going to change her mind. Has anyone seen this in a Ford dealership -recently - a poster that says "The car you look at today and come back tomorrow to buy is the same car someone looked at yesterday." Geezzzz. I hate that type of sales.
Well I can attest to the longectivity of a Ford Product.
I bought my 95 GTin December 1994. Dealer ripped me off.
I just had to get rid of it back in August. It had 208,000 daily driven miles.
The stock clutch lasted for 197,000 miles. (Actually the throw out bearing went, clutch disc had 5,000 miles of wear on it)
the only major things that happend, were the U-joint needed replaced in the driveshaft. The driver's seat track broke (I do weigh almost 300 lbs)
and I had to replace the headlight panel when I bumped a guard rail.

I think it held up better than any D*MN import out there. and it still had power in reserve!!!

Sorry for the rant, but there are American cars that last longer than most!

Maybe Ford is trying to compete with Daimler-Chrysler's 300/Charger/Magnum lineup.

Maybe the moderators or the 'zookeepers' should clean out the deadwood so newbies like me don't fall into the unmarked holes.

PS. Fordboy, is that your 2006 Mustang GT? I'd give my right nut for one of those. Nice colour combo. I've own about 10 Mustangs, the only problem is they're all 1/18 scale. I even have a 2006 Shelby the very same as your GT.

I would like to see a Mustang Minivan with Third Row Seating, and a Japanese Engine!

I think it's about time Mustangs got with the times!

Yeah that would be great. They could make it in Japan and sell it to us. That way they wouldn't have to buy anything from the North American auto makers just like they do now.

If there were a God, he would already have locked this.
