Question Searching dealer inventory

Hello everybody,

I've tried searching through ford dealer inventories for a while and I'm starting to get frustrated. I've gone to my local dealer and asked them to look around for me, but according to them they haven't had much luck finding a match to:

2011 GT Prem Sterling Grey, 6sp m, brembo, 3.73's, with glass roof (rear spoiler delete a plus), don't want any other options really.

I know that with the number of options and combinations that it may not exist and I may have to order one, but does anyone know of a way to search more than one dealer at a time?

I'm in Denver, CO but am willing to travel to pick up a match if I find one, or someone knows of one.

Thanks

www.cars.com works

Edit: couldn't find what you are looking for. It may just be that it doesn't exist.

Glass roof cars are rare in dealer stock. Personally, I've never seen one. You might need to order what you want.

That's what I'm thinking too. I wasn't sure about the glass roof, but my dealer had one for me to look at and I really like it, just doesn't have what I want on it. I'm browsing through the link above and it is much better than loading each from Ford's site.

I don't know about glass roof 2011's but there are a few glass roof 2010's on dealer lots around Houston so they do keep them in stock at some dealers.

I think the biggest thing is that dealers dont really order cars with high dollar options (Glass Roof, Brembos) for stock. They are hard to sell with same model right next to them but $4K less. Good luck with your search but I think you should just order it the way you want it. Dont compromise.....

I ordered mine in Denver and had it in less than 8 weeks (with glass roof), but being already in September perhaps makes more sense to wait until next spring.

Call Ford Customer Service at 800-392-3673. They have the ability to search dealer inventories for the exact car you are hunting for. They can search your area, your state, or anywhere else you want them to search.

True I could wait till spring, but I think I'd fair fine over the winter. I drove my 05 year round in Iowa for the last 5 years without issue, and the winters here are a bit easier to deal with imho. Although who knows what rebates will be around late oct / nov or in the spring.

Cars.com is only good for dealers who participate, but I've noticed in my area, that the majority don't.

yes! get that amazing glassroof. you need to spend a lot of time putting in various zip codes to get all the dealer listings in various states if necessary. forget the bembos with the glass roof. I don't think you'll ever find that combo. just find the rims big enough for bembos and order them from tirerack. you'll have to install them yourself. make sure the rim size is correct first!

you may try to sweet talk the dealers over the phone for them to use their extensive computer system to find your specs. they probably have unlimited seaching abilities and distance you don't.

also look for warmer climates for mustangs since it's rear wheel drive. CA or south.

or you can just special order and wait 8+ weeks.

good luck!
