A sad story after get car wash.
This is definitely not factory paint, it must've been repainted... There is no way factory paint could peel like that, I was almost stuck with a repainted Mustang... But I caught it in time and raised hell for it not being disclosed to me, if u can see the door and quarter panel don't match
I think I'd end up crashing one of those things. I test drove one and loved the speed and paddle shifters but my God, the windshield pillars were super thick and the car had terrible blind spots on the sides with the huge door hight. I'm glad they make 'em to keep the American auto spirit alive but I wouldn't buy one. I will admit that the upcoming Z28 looks really cool (for a Camaro).
well, I am at US and I am sorry I didnt keep update my post.
I already been to the dealer shop and they took several pictures for ford, yesterday they said ford agree to do this under warranty.
Therefore, thanks for everyone for pay attention to my stuip post.
Your post was not stupid. Ford better stand behind this one. I only wish we knew for sure if and were it was repainted. I hate to think it's possible for the factory paint to peel like that. I have never seen this on a new car before..used car yes, never on a new one.
Yeah, I'm always very careful about that and making sure nothing has been done to any new car I buy. Some people assume that if it's new that it's perfect.
The whole excitement of my 1st new car blinded me temporarily, something didn't smell right (literally) the 1st few days I had the car, it didn't have "that new car smell" I always dreamed about. That morning I took it out of my garage to see it in the daylight is when I figured it out, called out if work and went straight to the dealer and refused to keep the car... It wasnt easy, but my persistence paid off, they got attorney, and BBB claims the next day and they called me to work something out with me and now I have A Race Red :-)
Wow. I had that happen after I had my front bumper repainted on my 2000. The paint and clear looked fine but a power wash took off chunks like that. The shop repainted for free because that should not happen even with a power wash.
I had the same thing happen to me years ago with my 2002 Mustang GT. Took it to a car wash and started with the high pressure soap. The paint on the front bumper pealed off after one pass. Pissed off with soap still on my car I took it to the dealership I just got it from. Ford fixed the bumper and I was given a loaner while my car was being painted. Never took another car the a car wash again. HAND WASH IT!!!
