new rear main seal only held for 260 miles

Just did a bunch of work to my 97gt.
long story short new rear main seal is slightly leaking.. Stock main wasn't leaking but since I was in there anyway I went ahead and replaced it with a OEM replacement.
I'm going to go back in here this winter and try one more time, any one that has any tips on making sure this one seals would be appreciated!

Literally only a few drops on the garage floor over the last 5 days. Guess it gives me something to do this winter though.

That thing has to be just right in order not to leak.

I'm just shocked the old one didn't leak, and the new one only held 200 miles before it leaked.. Any tips or tricks of the trade? Its the 4.6 2v
Iv read a really super light bead of grey rv on block side is what Ford recommends to techs. But I'm taking any advice I can get for next time.
