A sad story after get car wash.

Well, I didnt expect this could happen to my car.

I found those painting lost when i wipe my car after the car wash, fortunately, there is no actual damages to my real bumper. Those paintings like papers, easy to get rid off.

1. Never use a power wand to wash your car.
2. I would check with Ford because this still shouldn't happen.

warrenty it...... it should not happen under any circumstances. the most you should get is swirl marks unless there was debris in the brushes then there should only be scratches. That was a paint adhesion problem and they need to strip and paint it over or replace and and paint.

Yeah, a body shop is gonna want to remove the bumper cover and paint (probably) the whole bumper.

And yeah, it should be warranty unless there's any impact damage visible

Go to the dealer you bought the car from if you bought it new. If you bought it used go to the nearest ford dealer

Are you the original owner? Has the bumper been painted before? There are a few rock chips it looks like in the bumper, hopefully they do not give you grief about that... Is the clear coat peeling below the lower grille or is that still water from the wash? Hopefully they take care of it for you! Keep us updated!

Oh bull****. A proper paint job can handle a freaking power wand at a car wash. This is called ****ty quality and Ford better fix it.

Thats nuts!! Wonder if car was damaged in shipment and dealer repaired it before selling it? No way factory paint is gonna lift like that.

You're driving too fast if your paint is peeling off!

Yep, dealer trip for sure. That should be covered without question.

Is this a 2014?

I'm just curious because they do have a new paint process now.

Don't go to a shop, go to your dealer first. Your paint is covered under your warranty.

Ouch! Not sure what can be done (I’m not a tech), but be sure to make an appointment with your dealer first, hu171. Also, PM me with your VIN, dealer, full name, and best daytime number so I can escalate it.

This is definitely not factory paint, it must've been repainted... There is no way factory paint could peel like that, I was almost stuck with a repainted Mustang... But I caught it in time and raised hell for it not being disclosed to me, if u can see the door and quarter panel don't match

On a brand new Mustang? If it was, they're required by law to disclose any repairs over $500.
