Remote start issues
Pressing the key fob to start the engine remotely will result in a chirp then the engine starts after 5 seconds, the engine shuts off. When I press the button again, the horn chirps 3 times and the engine won't start. I understand that 3 chirps mean that a door is opened, but none are. Any ideas?

theres 2 ways a remote starter works
1 by seeing voltage
2 by rpm signal
If yours is not seeing the right rpm signal or the right voltage the remote starter will shut down- and when you try to use it again it will fail because the system shut down improperly and senses a false reading from one of the inputs.
Its possible that one of your inputs to the remote starter has been broken and would need to be serviced by the dealer or whoever installed it.
There is alot of inputs for the remote starter to work properly. If it doesnt see all of them it will shut the system down like your experiencing. Could be a faulty hood pin- neutral switch- brake switch etc.
