Rear end (possibly rear sway bar?) squeak?

My squeak is back.
But I think I may have found the culprit.
First I removed the entire sway bar assembly again, then drove her. Squeak was still there! So I did some more searching and came across some corsa squeak threads!!! I realized that's also what I changed recently. Sounds like it's the exhaust hangar rubbing on the muffler itself. Going to test my theory my wrapping the hanger or muffler portion with exhaust tape. See if that quiets it down. For the record, after a visual I did see that the rubber on the hangar appears partly "melted" lol. So hopefully I'm right.

Yeah I should've lol...
I figured out the source of my squeak. Stupid exhaust hanger was rubbing on actual metal piece on the corsa. Took me a while to find. To fix, instead of grinding out the hanger, I cut some spare rubber tubing I had from my magnuson install, then wrapped that over the metal. Voila. No more squeak. I need to reinstall my poor innocent sway bar lol
Here's pics of the culprit. 1st and 2nd pics are the metal on metal rubbing (stock bracket rubbing on metal corsa hanger... You can a see the shaved part on oem bracket from rubbing). Last pic is the solution.

I had this problem as well. I used electric tape initially, but it wore through rather quickly and went to a small piece of rubber hosing to solve the problem.

I just can't believe I wasted all that time troubleshooting something so simple. So my last project is to reinstall my poor sway bar... Lol

Yep... I started out with tape, then quickly thought, if it was grinding actual metal (evidenced by the shaved/indented surface), it would make short work of it. So rubber hosing to the rescue. Hey man I know it's been many years but any chance that's still sitting in your garage I'd love to buy it!
