Quick Smart Key Question
Quick Smart Key Question
Hello guys
I have a problem that maybe someone out there has a solution to. I have a 2010 Mustang V6 Pony Package. It was garaged all winter. I finally took it out yesterday afternoon, and it started right up due to it being trickle charged all winter.
But when I went to go home from my trip, the car would not start. The key opened the door, turned on the lights & the radio, but would not engage the starter.
After getting a ride home, and back again, I used the spare key and it started right up.
Do these keys go "bad" after a certian amount of time? I think it is pretty strange and a little frightening. What if I had been hundereds of miles away?
Has anyone experienced this type of key malfunction before?
Thanks so much for any insight you might have.
