RMwill, is that the regular shaker on your red vert or the shaker pro? I got the 2013 GT premium coupe (shaker), and I do not have speakers in the backseat at all. I was only counting 6 speakers, even though it said I would have 8.

Hmm, Those ARE speaker in the backseat right? Mine has just armrests there with no speakers. I guess i'll go back to the dealer about it.

 

The coupes are different than the convertibles. The coupe has speakers in the rear package shelf. The verts do not have a rear package shelf, so there are mounted to the side of the rear passengers instead. Check your rear deck...

 

So, I count 2 speakers in each door, 2 on the rear deck. which equals six speakers. Am i missing something? is there actually 3 speakers in each door?

 

As far as 05-12 goes, the Shaker stereos had 1 8" sub and a 5x7 plate speaker with a 5.25" + 1" tweeter in each door. So yes, 3 speakers in each door.

rm, how is the wind buffeting with the top down. I know the new car designs have brought it to a minimum. My C6 does a great job, just wondering how the Wifey's new '13 GT will do.
