This is my first modern Mustang. I took delivery yesterday at lunch and snapped a few photos at a local park, and then hit the road for Chicago. I drove through a massive severe storm and the car was subject to marble size hail. I stopped in Kalamazoo for dinner, and dropped the top for most of the remainder of the trip. Comments:

• Fast as Stink. I have borrowed many pre 5.0 cars and this screams
• Very quiet with the top up, even in the rain
• Sync works much better than earlier models, even acceptable up to 40MPH with the top down
• HID headlights are very bright. Better than the HID's on other current Fords
• Seat heaters only have one setting: HOT
• Saddle leather seats are not cheap feeling at all, unlike most mass market cars.
• Broke over 20MPG despite caning the crap out of the beast
• The 4 inch screen is very cool, and offers info like intake temp, Air fuel mix, and detained fuel economy info

In short, its an amazing ride. Its almost as much fun as a motorcycle.

Yep. I was playing cat and mouse with a Lexus IS driver last night on I-94. I would let him get a 1/4 mile ahead and then I would drop into 5th and bury the right pedal. When I stopped for gas, he followed me to ask about the car and commented that its one hot looking cruise missile.

Sounds like a beast. I hope that hail didn't cause any damage. I'd be cringing if I had to drive my new car through a storm like that

Yep. Standard GT Premium 400A Package. Only options are backup camera, comfort package and cloth roof.

Very nice looking Mustang you have! I heard about the storms and tornadoes up in that area on the news this morning. I would have freaked out to be driving home in hail after picking up a nice new car like that.
