That car still had more miles than my 10 when it was wrecked. But **** does that suck, hope it wasn't because the owner wanted to show off, weird how the passenger side impact airbag still went off even though the front passenger airbag didn't.
The whole design lets the engine drop down and under instead of into the passenger compartment.
Mustangs had this designed into them for many years before 2011.
Most cars today have some sort of this type of design.
That reminds me of 2001 when I bought a brand new Civic Ex coupe and some douche ran into me 1 day after I bought the car. I was so pissed. Crap happens I guess. Pictures like that make me keep my traction control on, epsecially since it's been raining a lot here.
oh alright i understand it now. salesman introduced it as if it were new for 2011.
Some of them like to do that, or just don't know better.
That's awful though, that's the first 5.0 I've heard of that's been wrecked. It took a severe frontal collision, but also note the back, it also took a hit, though lighter than the front did, and seemingly high. No passenger from the passenger air bag not going off. The car wasn't even two months old. GT Base with Brembos. A bloody shame.
At least the engine looks salvageable.

Looks like the Mustang might have been hit from the rear causing it to spin out of control striking something else with the front. Just a thought.
That's entirely possible, as it looks like whatever car hit him in the rear hit at an angle and knocked it into a spin as you said. Someone turning left onto the road, hit the Mustang in the rear and hit it into a spin where it collided with someone else head on. Hard to say then who was at fault in that case, but said someone probably ran a stop sign/light.
Still sucks either way. Candy red, Brembo, spoiler delete! Man, hope whomever was driving is alright though. Still looks like the engine bay is in great shape though. Pretty tough car for not having real bumpers!
I'll add to what Red Jay said. i think the liquid filled motor mounts woul be more for reduding NVH from the engine than for safety. My Honda has them and glad to see Ford use them on the 2011.
yea with cloth interior. Betcha that was a special order car..
