Production Hold on Brembo cars

There is currently a hold on Brembo cars. GT's for sure 99.99% sure the GT-500 is held as well (same Brembos). No ETR has been provided to me.

was going to sell some company stock that's soaring today to pay for the thing

my rule is to always sell on the news

maybe it's better to wait

Are they holding non-brembo GT's too? IF not then maybe my desicion to get aftermarket brakes was a good one!!!

so you think Ford will start releasing built GT's soon then? I know I'm impatient, but ever since I test drove a 2010 GT the wait for a real car with a V8 has been killing me

Don't know what this means for me. Maybe my order gets scheduled a bit sooner, seeing as how it doesn't have brembos? Who knows.

This is why I'm sort of glad I'm waiting until fall to order mine. All these little minor delays are NOT driving me nuts! They certainly would be if I had ordered mine as soon as they were available.

Part of the reason I plan to wait until Job 2 starts. Hopefully demand will be down, quality will have the kinks worked out, and things like this won't happen. Either way, it's not a huge set back, people just have to keep their pants on and know that the car is coming soon.

Look at the bright side, at least you're not paying for the car while it's at the plant.

I ordered my 2010 on June 8th... and was told 6-8 weeks was the wait... No biggie, right?
I waited 16 weeks. Until September 22nd. Here was my thread... https://themustangsource.com/showthread.php?t=476865
Was told there were holds on HID's and the wheels I ordered...
Fun fun fun! Sadly, not shocked at all on this. Even for job 2 there's probably going to be a few odds n ends of new stuff introduced just as my HID's were job 2.

(it's worth it in the end tho... )

Is this just a production hold or a hold on production AND a "not OK to sell" on Brembo cars that are already built?

with my 2010 i waited until the day after the order banks switched over for job 2, basically the day the TP was available even tho i didnt order it

hold could be a shortage of one of the parts if the brembo package is outpacing expected demand, maybe they dont have enough of the wheels or something

they will hold already built cars until the issue is resolved and brembo cars are rolling down the line again.

After my experience with my GT500, I will ONLY buy an end of the build car from here on out.

Right it may not even be Ford's problem- it could be due to supplier or even legal issues... no word yet.
