Off topic, since no one responded to my thread lol. The $1000 cash back is supposed to expire 10/4.. and my car is estimated to arrive 10/11. Is there any way the dealer can extend that for me? Or will the offer itself be extended? I haven't gotten the $750 brochure despite numerous attempts so I had planned on using the $1000 cash back and the $500 college student offer together.
I would have been ecstatic to be able to use the $1000 + $750 + $500.. and content with without the brochure. Without the brochure AND the Ford promotion, I would be kind of.... miffed.

Haven't heard of any production issues, nor are there any commodities restrictions (parts shortages from vendors), but I have 18 Mustangs on order for our dealership that are not scheduled yet even though most have been on order for a couple months now. We're only getting about 1 scheduled per week, and sometimes none, and we're one of the largest volume Ford stores in the entire NW USA.

WHAMMER,
the reason there is a shortage is due to USA orders. I spoke to Ford Canada ( I know some people at head office) and was told that Oakville allocation (for Canada) was being diverted to the USA to fill orders.
When I ordered my 5.0 in , I found out that in the first few weeks of July had seen 900 GT's ordered across Canada with a Canadian allocation for only 50 of those orders to be built. Not sure how long it will take to catch up but that is the reason why.

Sorry about that EDad. I'm in Huntsville, AL. Here is the local dealer.
Currently they have 40 Mustangs and quite a few are GT's.

Maybe the guys in Canada should be taking a trip to Alabama or Texas. That is a lot of Mustangs to have sitting in inventory, especially with winter coming on. I am "assuming" they are willing to deal.

That's pretty stupid of Ford really. Why? Because Canadian cars retail for at least 7k more than the same car in the US. I loaded GT will run over 45k here in Canada, a GT500 STARTS at 59k here. Ford would have less money woes if they sold more cars in Canada! LOL!

SD CALSPCL, same here in AL. A Mustang is a year round car. It only gets really cold in December and January and even then were only talking like 30 degrees during the day and low 20s or teens at night. Very little snow and ice. They can sell Mustangs in the dead of winter here. Having said that however, I've never seen Woody Anderson with that many Mustangs on the lot. I don't think the 2011 is selling as well as Ford hoped.

I ordered August 27th and I still don't have a VIN. I was told to expect delivery "late October". I have a road trip planned for the end of November...
Do you guys think I'll get my car in time?

Well from the info that seems to be coming out it sounds like you might be screwed, hopefully that's not the case. Your best bet is to call your dealer and try and get them to apply some pressure on Ford. The "squeaky wheel gets the grease" might be what helps you out.

The thing is, I noticed that my priority was set as "90" on the order sheet...
However, it's a really small dealership so this is probably the only Mustang they have on order right now... Anyone know if they can update the priority code, and if so, does that actually have any impact on how fast the process will occur?
