Hey David -- don't forget to let us know how you're doing on gas mileage!
Yes I know that is not the #1 priority for this car, otherwise you would have bought a Prius, but we're curious how it does in the real world, with the 18" wheels and the 3.31 gears.
Hope your having fun with it!
(and I'd suggest you leave all the parts on for now )

My gas mileage is showing 13.2 as of now. I've got 63 miles on it. I've been doing a lot of idling, showing friends and neighbors the options it has, like the reverse camera, exhaust sounds, etc. When i do drive down the highway for a few miles, the m.p.g. will start going up a few tenths. I'm disabled and only drive 5 to 7 thousands miles per year. It going to rain tomorrow so 'Little Red' (my Mustangs name) is going to sit high and dry in my carport. My carport has the two ends opened but the sides go to the ground. My car will only get wet on the front or rear when its raining with the wind blowing.
The ride quality is that of a much more expensive car. Took my ex-girlfriend (long story) for a 5 mile ride in it yesterday. She was very impressed with the way it handled bumps in the road and how quiet it was inside the cabin.
The brakes are the most perfect brakes i have ever felt. I've been doing easy beaking to let them break in. But today a redlight changed to red and i noticed it a little late and had stop faster than normal. Pedal feel is great!!!

I'm at 20.1mpg with 119 miles on it. Mostly city driving so far, stop light to stop light. Have had one long stretch of maybe 15 miles where I was driving around 70mph. My trip home from the dealership yesterday was right at rush hour so I drove an average of 15mph in bumper to bumper traffic for 25 miles.

I refilled my gas tank today ($3 LOL!!!), just to reset. I went for a 10 mile highway drive and my gas mileage is at 22.8 for now. I also floored it for the first time. Just for 2 or 3 seconds, the front end came up 3 or 4 inches and had a nice kick to it. The exhaust sounded very nice too. My last car only had a 150 h.p. 4 cylinder so i'm very happy with my Mustang.
In June or July i have to do a 250 mile trip, i'll manually check my gas mileage then.

Yes, it was on the differential cover. I bet there is a more permanent i.d. somewhere else but i didn't feel like crawing under the car LOL!!! Seeing the sticker did ease my mind about the rear gear.

I need to check mine, just for fun and maybe a little peace of mind.

Every seperate part on the car has a bar code sticker or tag on it somewhere, that's how they track the parts in the plant.
