As I indicated they are base models with only option being 3.73 gears...I myself would take a new base GT over a used premium if price was about the same...you can always add leather to the seats down the road if wanted. Nothing better than getting the car with 5 miles on it and having a clean slate ( and that new car smell!!!) and a non beat car to start with....

I understand that but I am still limited to $22k. I really doubt the dealer will go any lower considering how well priced it is already. Plus my insurance would would only be higher than it would be with a used Premium. I checked.

For 22K you can get a v6 premium new or fairly new <10K mi. You can try to tell a dealer to find you one and see if they can trade for it or have it shipped to you but it's hard to negotiate the price on it that way.
Absolutely no offense to the V6 owners on the forum, but I think I'd take an older 4.6 over any V6. Despite the gas mileage. Despite it being older. The V8 is the most important part of my criteria.

Only thing good about it is it's kona

But you can get much better for the price. Tune is scary with no powertrain warranty. And what's with the peeling buttons??? Do people scratch it with their finger nails or use a screwdriver when they push buttons???

Sad thing is that in the area i'm in, this is the cheapest 5.0 within 200 miles. I wish there was better for the price, but not at this time.

I would offer $19,500 and be willing to sign papers at that moment, and hole to land somewhere around $21,500.

Peppy! Lmao, I absolutely love that term to describe a 305 HP, 14 flat 1/4 mile car completely stock.

Bro, you definitely don't want that 3.7. You need that V8. You need the sound of the V8. Get a V8 bro. You remind me of people who want too eat fine dinning, prime rib but can only afford McDonald' s Mcrib.
You have V8 taste but v6 pocketbook!
I want a Cadillac but I can afford only Buick. Good luck bro! Hope you find your dream car.

Thank you. That's life I guess haha. I'd be willing to bet there's a few people here who wanted a Boss but cold only get GT/CS

There's actually a used Boss at Skillman thats comparable to a new GTCS.

Wait.

It's wayyyyy out of your price range, not in New Jersey, convertible, likely to be hell in rain, unmolested, low mileage, has a warranty, is RED....lol

Bro, I'm sorry and wasn't trying too be a jerk. I just meant that your wants list may not be the same as your actual can afford list. In all seriousness, I think if your willing too hold off until the 2015 models hit the showroom floors, I'm confident you could score a steal of a deal in a 5.0 premium model. There will be plenty of low millage 5.0's out there and many people willing too dump it just so they can get the 2015 model.

Bro, we are so close to the new model coming out and the previous models will fall lower and lower in price. My advice would be too hold off buying a mustang until the 15 models are out and then find your 5.0 premium model.

Unfortunately do to some circumstances I need it by June (Read my original post). Don't ask me specifically why. If I could, I sure as hell would.

Yeah, I caught that part about you needing it by June from your original post. Lol! Perhaps with realities , you may of reconsidered holding off, however you do what you have too do bro. Godspeed to your quest in finding a mustang of your wants and needs by June and in your price range.

I found a completely unmolested 2011 kona blue gt premium brembo 401a for 21900 a month or so ago. I'm regretting not pulling the trigger a little bit. Only problem that car had was 54k miles which is pretty high mileage considering it's age. I think I'll be able to find one considering that. With a little negotiating I could get one now. I'm just not the best with negotiating lol.

54k miles for a 2011 seems a bit on the high millage side. I'm thinking more on the millage of 36k or under, however not sure if you can currently get a 2011 5.0 premium package for under 22k with under 36,000 miles

That won't even happen before June most likely. I'm thinking low 40s for the mileage. May have to sacrifice getting at premium but that's the least important part of my criteria

Well , if you can live without a premium model that's gonna help big time in getting your 5.0 in your price point I would think..

On the other hand, that means a lot of highway driving, which is easy on the car so maybe not so bad. Mine's got 57K so maybe I'm biased! If it had the extended powertrain warranty up to 100K, I'd be ok with that.

Just another example though...here's a GT (non-premium but has leather seats at least) that's Kona Blue, 36K miles, 2012, for $22K. You could offer $21, spend $250 to fly one way to Kansas City and drive it home in 2 days. Or have it shipped, which is very common too. http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...nal&listType=1
