Another side question on these Recaro seats.... our standard 2012 leather seats on a GT Premium have seat airbags right? Do these Recaros have them too? Or how will it prevent error codes being thrown out???

I believe they have side airbags. If not, you could fab up a resistor with equal resistance to the airbag to 'dupe' the system into thinking they're still attached.

I've been wondering about this but there is no mention of airbags. Could you remove the airbag from the stock seats and place them in the Recaro's if they don't come included (if wired for them)? Maybe they are different but it would be nice to know what the options are. Your insurance company won't be too happy if you remove airbags from your car.

I didn't say they are mandatory although there is a certain level of side protection required in vehicles and manufacturers use side airbags to meet that requirement. Regardless, if your vehicle came with side airbags and you disable or take them out and someone gets hurt good luck with that persons attorney and your insurance company.

The insurance company insured the car under the impression that it had side airbags. If you remove these by putting in aftermarket seats, you can be liable to have your coverage pulled because you changed the safety features of the car without notifying the insurer.

I wonder if the deck lid panel could be wrapped in a matte black to match what's on the Boss. I really don't like the silver dome the faux gas cap sits on and this would clean up the look a lot.

That's not the point. It's not about what is required, it's about what came with the car at the time of insurance issuance.

Interesting.... in this pic, that kink on the 2012 with the 2013 lights doesn't look tooooooo bad. No need to do a complete rear redo...

is it me or does it look like it has 18s on the rear and 19s on the front??
I'm actually thinking about putting 11-12 taillights on the 13 model if i happen to not like the 13 model that much. and not sure if the taillights shiny black panel can be removed or if its painted onto a trunk, by that needs to be satin black, not shiny black.
