I've contacted Kevin to try and work together on this.

FYI, some quick updates on the headlamps and taillamps and compatibility with the '10-12 cars. It sounds like both items can be installed with nothing more than a jumper harness between the existing wiring and the new lamps. This will allow you to not cut into any harnesses, but will require them to be tweaked and wired to correctly power/signal the new lamps. When these are identified and made I'll post instructions on here. My personal thoughts are to go find a wrecked car and hack some plugs off of the harnesses and fab up some jumper harnesses myself.

The blackout panel between the tails might be a bit tougher. Apparently the part is not a stick-on item, and has a series of clips holding it in place.

Doh! This kills my idea of retrofitting the panel. I will not drill holes in my trunk. Or maybe we could just cut the clips and simply stick it on?

Thanks for the info Overboost!

I thought of the same thing. If the panel is cheap enough, I may hack one up to stick on with some tape, similar to the accessory panel that's currently offered. I don't know how it interacts with the rear emblem, and if that is a revised part for '13. From the ones I've seen, it looks like the black trim just sits on top of the existing faux cap.

Nah man. Take the panel, cut the clips or tabs off and make it a stick on part. No big deal.
Too slow. Overboost beat me to it.

The 2013 hood won't fit on the 2012 but I wonder if there's a way to add the hood vents from the 2013 to the 2012 hood? Key would be the contour of the hoods and I bet they are very close. I know this is doubtful but I wanted to throw it out there.

no chance, it's not just a hole cut out of the hood, they sit in a bevel that's formed into the hood when it's stamped.. the '13 GT vents can't even be put on a '13 V6 hood

Hey anything can be done. It's just a matter of how much money do you want to spend.

Seeing as how some of the engine and drivetrain parts will retro-fit to the 07-11 GT500s I'd say I'm very interested in the oil pan and its windage tray plus the CF driveshaft as well as the coolant pump for the heat exchanger. The intake remains unchanged with the exception of a higher flowing charge cooler in the manifold. Also apparently the fuel pump driver module has been upgraded as well.

I haven't read all 3 pages but can the tail lights be added with the '11/'12 rear bumper cover?

No, the new lights are shaped different. They are more flat on the bottom where the old ones angle up towards the middle.

Please don't do that man.... or I hope folks don't get that idea. IMO, that crosses the line to rice.

So you're saying the 2013 is a ricer? Those vents are functional.

Please take the time to read the thread. I don't want to clutter it up over and over again because people won't take the time to read. I plan on updating the first post with links as things are tested further.

no no... Not at all what I'm saying. What I mean is, if someone took the time to literally make cutouts on their 2012 hood to imitate a 2013 hood, now THAT's ricer to me.

A better approach would be to do the entire conversion, front end + hood, using genuine Ford parts (or legitimate equivalent).
