90% of my comments on car have cane from guys like 40 & older. Sure I get quite a few, but they'll walk up tone & compliment it. Mine just gets talked about by all. Don't really look when driving to see if people's looking @ me. Kinda lost that ability. My new car drives so well, I prob could? Just used to my 95, so now don't even try. My 11 year old boy cousin's friends sure love it!

No joke!

Getting complimented is nice though...makes me a proud owner! I wish I could pick up chicks with it...but it must be me, lol.

I am 18 years old and I purchased a 2011 Mustang GT/CS brand new. I make the payments every month. I don't drive an 18,000 dollar Lexus. This thread is all about the attention you get? I don't drive a Mustang so people will look at me. No mustang driver should. At the end of the day it's a 35,000 dollar Ford made in the same place where Mazda's are made.

Hey, at least I'm honest to admit this car is good looking enough to attract attention.

If you're an 18 year old and you didn't buy this car for the looks...do you at least like boobies?

Have to admit I bought this car for looks as well. I plan on doing quite a few mods, and honestly one of the reasons people mod cars is to turn heads. They might be made the same place as a Mazda, but if you think that means something why did you buy it?

"meant for the looks of the car"

I have a mazda 6. Don't be hatting on sheila (thats her name). It definitely doesn't turn heads nearly as often as these mustangs.

No, it's a great car, and it's the best of the three last real cars. Camaro ( I think it's crap) and the challenger weighs as much as a Dodge Ram. Don't get me wrong, it looks great, but I didn't buy it to improve my image like you are saying. Are you the kinda guy that watches Jersey Shore and says "I wish I lived like that"? Do you put on a collared shirt and pop the collar?
Sure sounds like it. Mustang is a well built nice car, but isn't like it's exclusive. The Mazda reference shows how mass produced these cars are. Haha

:gay:

Spoken like a true 18 year old.
Look, if you have that low of an opinion of the Mustang, maybe you should have bought a Hyundai. They make good cars, too. I like the eye for detail, the craftsmanship, the design. Maybe you have not had the experience of driving numerous types of vehicles for the last 15+ years, but I have. I have driven everything from 24 foot long motor homes to motorcycles, to pickup trucks, and Toyotas. I also have quite a bit of experience in the fine arts, and I can tell you that not all music is just a collection of notes, and not all paintings are just paint and canvas. The Mustang now is a very well designed car. It is clear that you just do not get it. Not all of us choose to go after girls with it (my wife would kill me), but let us not put the car down to the level of being "just another Ford". My 1986 Taurus felt like that at times, but even that was a very revolutionary design. You should just sell yours to a more deserving person, then go buy a boring car.

Oh yeah your V6 mustang is quite a lady-getter I'm sure. I've driven a lot of cars too buddy. Ive owned a 1954 F-100, 1978 Bronco, 1992 Mustang LX, 2001 Dodge Ram, 2006 Ram. I've driven Camry's, a Lincoln town car... You drive around thinking your hot stuff because you can purchase a new car. Whoa. What I am saying is, calmly, buying a Mustang just because of the way it makes you look is not the reason to buy a Mustang. It's about how it performs, drives and the fun of it. I would never own a Kia or Hyundai because they lack all of these things.

I DO NOT have a low opinion of the Mustang. You are mistaken. Why would I have purchased one if I hated it?

Nobody comments on my stang because it's never parked anywhere for someone to say anything to me about it. Seven and the R barely make it out of the garage. But when they do they turn every head they pass.

Lately I get all my compliments on the Raptor but I drive it everyday so a lot of people see it.

Yes, I do that while I'm at my job at the highest (snicker) echelons of government in DC.

Mustang is a well built nice car, but isn't like it's exclusive.
Then why did you buy one? I see rusty ol Mustangs from 1994 to 2009 ALL the time around here. The 2010+ Mustang design is gorgeous and turns heads. If that's not a factor then you should have bought a Smart car (they are pretty rare around here). If you just wanted power and didn't care about looks you could have gotten a Subaru or a truck.

A car, much like a job and a woman, are things that improve your image and status (this is not the only benefit these three items provide, obviously). There is nothing wrong with that. I'm not sure where you are from, but in DC, image is EVERYTHING (Hollywood for ugly people). You can only play rebellious college kid for so long before you realize you're a joke. Everything is not black and white; just because you care what other people think about things you buy that are based on looks (clothes, car) doesn't mean it compromises your identity.

That's how I took your comment.

I bought mine because of what it did for me.

(And Steve McQueen mesmerized me to lay down my credit card. lol)
