NOW my dealer gets a Boss!!!

Months ago I searched high and low for a 2013 Boss and almost no one in my area (with a few hundred miles) had one and the few that were willing to order one wanted $5000 over MSRP. Fast forward to yesterday when I am at my dealer putting on GT500 mufflers on my new 2013 GT which I ordered on June 8 and got August 30. And low and behold, what do I see in the dealer's showroom? A 2013 Boss in GHIG!! To make matters worst, I asked the salesmen how much they were going to sell it for and he said MSRP. Just my luck. I am always a dollar short and a day late. And no, I am not going to trade my GT in for a Boss. Just can't swing that.

You asked him up front if they were getting a Boss? And they replied no?!? Sounds suspicious to me! Tell them you'll pay the difference on what you paid them up front for the GT. They owe you that since you asked originally! IMHO

They don't "owe" him anything. It doesn't take much a genius to figure out that if you're buying a LARGE PURCHASE of $30,000+, it'd be a good idea if you knew you actually wanted what you ended up purchasing. Regardless of other options out there. It's not the fault of the dealership. The moral of the story here is: don't settle if you're signing a long term commitment on a MAJOR PURCHASE, and if you regret it, it's buyer stupidity. You don't buy a car like a carton of milk. If you wanted a Boss bad enough, you'd have one.

I was in the same boat as you. My local dealer had a GHIG Boss and said they wouldnt sell it under MSRP (same place i bought my 12 boss for under). So I went and bought a brembo GHIG gt with leather recaros and thought I would be happy. About a month later that dealership got a white boss and made a deal I couldnt pass. So traded the gt!
