That's me - I didn't know I needed a Mustang until I drove one - then it was "so long, vanilla '99 Camry automatic!"

This car makes me really despise heavy traffic and old people.

I'm getting a hang of it for normal use. It'll take a little longer to be able to ease from a stop- not at all accustomed to having 400+hp on tap!

Finally turned on the radio this afternoon. Went straight to Sirius and found some jazz. I'm all set now!

Not really. Still need to set up my iPhone for Sync. That'll take some time to learn also!

Minivans, don't forget the minivans. I know how you feel, I felt the same way. With my old V6 I thought that some traffic was slow. With my new Mustang, all traffic is slow.

There are some excellent instructional videos on how SYNC operates on youtube.

After watching those SYNC videos I'm left thinking nothing besides, "Wow, she looks like Halle Berry with a terribly-trimmed unibrow."

I connected my phone today and called my wife from the car. THAT is pimp. I don't care who you are. What wasn't pimp was that she was asleep and is now pissy.

I'm loving this car. The exhaust note comes across as regal to me. It's there- no doubt that it's there... but it's not banging on your window to let you in. I love it. I simply freaking love it.

That was 2 decades ago for me

It is my opinion that is EXACTLY where you go to learn how to "harness the fury". Specifically, in autocross, you are going to get an opportunity to feel what turning, braking, and accelerating are like at the limits of traction in a controlled environment. It's really not practical to attempt anything near that in street driving.

Although I am not a drag racer, I have done enough passes to know that you will get the acceleration feeling at much higher speeds than would be practical in street driving by A LOT (unless you like to exceed the highway speed limits regularly by more than 5%).

Good luck!

The stop and go is still something I'm adjusting to. The Explorer takes a bit of rev before I start easing off the clutch from a stop due to the big tires and stock gears (new axles in the garage being built to fix that) so going back to a normal situation of adding throttle and releasing clutch at the same time is taking some time. Then add to it that it's twice the power I'm accustomed to driving. Additionally, the shifter feels clunky to me and that's taking some work as well. Nonetheless, I'm enthralled with this car and my heart races with almost ever 1-2 shift.

I don't (intentionally) exceed the speed limit by over 5-10% on a regular basis. I drive a 24ft commercial service truck for a living so my employment rides on me having a clean record. The problem with the Mustang is that it's SO incredibly smooth, even at highway speeds, and I don't realize how fast I'm going. I'm watching my speedometer a lot more than normal, just to be on the safe side.

The ONLY complaint I have so far is that there are no odds on the speedometer. When I'm driving in a 45-50mph zone I just have to gauge by whether I'm closer to 40 or 60 and that's a bit of an annoyance. Otherwise, holy crap. This car rocks.

Every time in the car will no doubt help you become less annoyed

But do they have videos that tell you how SYNC doesn't operate? That's what I needed to know.

It's going to be very interesting for me, because I'm keeping my five-year old Prius when I get the Mustang, so there'll be days when I drive both! I can't imagine the kind of adjustments I'll have to make. The Prius does 0-60 in about 11 seconds.

You should be able to leave from a stop without even giving it any gas!

Congrats on your purchse man... I love SYNC feature on this as well.. This is such a amazing car and we are so fortunate to be some of the few around the world to rock it first! I've gotten nothing but compliments about this wonderful car... Rock it proudly.

Love your color combo. Almost enough to make me regret that I didn't choose it. But dark blue would show dirt fast, and the weather is crummy 9 months of the year here in Chicago.

Thanks guys! It's already dirty!

I set up my phone with Sync last night. Today my son and I were talking and he didn't believe something I said. Within seconds we had his Grandmom on the phone through the speakers. He was about to explode with excitement! It's way too cool.

Thanks for all the complements, guys- I just wish I could really take it out and show it off, but parental responsibilities are slowing that down. My son goes to his mom for the weekend, though, so I plan to take it around and show my buddies then.

I'm already improving with the clutch but I'm also already itching to hit the track so I can really just tear into it without worrying about breaking the speed limit. In normal driving it feels like this thing really just wants nothing but to run free.
