One guy in a Charger came up beside me and started pacing me (4 lane blvd). I didn't even look his way. Had we 'floored it', a traffic cam was not more than 1/4 mile away at the stoplight. Would have been ticket city. doi

I had a kid do that to me for 3 straight lights. At the third light he gestured to me to roll down the window. I said told him I don't race. He laughed. He says he would have a chance. He just wanted to hear me rev the engine. I revved the motor and his buddies went nuts and gave me a bunch of thumbs up gestures. Not what I expected.

 

I get this a lot.

I live in a town where almost everyone drives big diesels. They like to black smoke cars with windows down, so I tend to have to accelerate a little to stay out of the way of their pipes....but other than that most don't try to do anything too crazy.

Now times I'm on the highway I get some kids who get right next to me and I can hear their little 4bangers revving hard. I just smile, shake my head no, and continue on my way.....

I get this non stop in both my Shelby and the Roush, of course I live in OKC and everybody here now has the "Fast & Furious" syndrome thanks to Discovery Channels "Street Outlaws" show. I also get a lot of people talking to me at red lights and asking "Is that the new Shelby" and asking me to get on it a little; as long as the road is clear I give them a show!

I get everything from 4 bangers to trucks to the occasional Lamborghini or Ferrari on nice weekends.

 

I got it alot when the car was new but since I finished it, hardly ever. Looks a bit meaner now.

 

HAHA here in Belgium I have had every other Bmw and Audi want to race. I did a few but whenever the ask I say it wont be a race just me winning! Haha im getting cocky.

 

I like to rev on people then take off at a super slow pace.

 

When I was a dumb teenager, I used to lurch forward when they were looking at me and revving and they would take off through the red light. After someone got into an accident, I felt guilty and never did it again.

 

almost every time camaro guy sees me...they wantsto race... they would even roll down n ask or would beep... i nvr race them... want to hold onto my license so that i can cruise in my pony for as long as i can...
strangely though now a days the only car that i can see insane speeding are camry n corollas....

 

when I had my mustang it was the Honda/hot hatch guys... now that I have my focus St its the V6 mustang and Camaro guys.

the other day I had a guy in a dodge magnum rev at me.. I yelled at him "really.. its a wagon dude!" he hauled *** off trying to show off.

 

So according to Peter Griffith of Family Guy......If they look at you in the eye, you suppose to Rev twice, flip em off, and run them like hoot.....at least that is per Peter.

 

but that ST runs out pretty good... Yes?

 

It happens to me, but not too often. Once in a while I'll oblige and show'em the power of the stang.

I had a stupid cop run up on me the other day trying to catch me speeding. I thought he was gonna run into me. I hurried up and got over and he stayed even with me. Rolled down the window and told me that I was speeding. He must have been coming up as I was merging onto the interstate. I caught up to traffic very quickly but never pushed it over 80. I didn't give him any lip since I was sporting illegal tint and an expired inspection sticker. He seemed really disappointed that he didn't catch me speeding.
