I'm sticking with what I like. New Premium GT BBP 6R80. I really like the Select Shift. I really wanted a 2015 but I just don't like the way it looks. There maybe a 2017 in my future if it grows on me.

Nice pickup, I too have a Brembo/Auto car. Good thing I wanted a '14, because you can't get the performance pack with the auto on the 2015, which is completely retarded.

I'm so impressed with the auto trans. in these cars, if I could of got an auto with track pack I think I would have just to make my daily driving a little easier!
But it is fun shifting some times, especially on a track

The thing with cars is that you have to buy in at some point and unless something goes horribly wrong with the economy, there will ALWAYS be something better coming along in the next model year or two. Sometimes you have to just be happy with what you've got...which shouldn't be hard to do in your case. Yeah, the '15 has some great new features and some great looking sheet metal but we would be in the same position again in 2ish years when the inevitable new motor comes along or whatever. It's a never-ending cycle of materialism.

I have been leaning this way myself. I'm still extremely happy with my "ancient" 2011.

I don't know guys, I think the 2015 is sharp through and through and would have loved to order one over the 2014 that I have coming to me. I really like both cars. What made me buy a 2014 over the 2015 model was the fact that the new mustang has wayyyyyy too many design changes. In my experience I've had bad luck with buying 1st year car redesigns. I much preferred the 2014 because it has several years of tested engineering with its current form and is very sharp looking in its own

 

think we're ok either way. the '12- '14's are great examples of a muscle car and will stand the test of time very well. the 15's are nice and I'm sure we will grow to love them once we see them on the street.

 

OP, nice car! I went with a 14 as well. The 15 is too european for me and I think that is problem. People want mustang to look American Muscle car but the new one looks like it plays with Aston Martins and Ferraris. The interior though, I am not a fan of and I don't see what others see. I like clean and simple. The 14 mustang has a clean dashboard where the 15 is too cluttered for my taste. But for the OP, time to get modding! lol

Thanks guys. To me the 2014 is the last American Mustang. As others have said the 2015 looks too Euro or 350Z-ish. This is my 3rd S197 and I hope it's as good or better than the last two, but I'm sure there will be a s550 in my future.

 

Exactly. Figure if you bought a '15, you'd just get envious/jealous of the '16/'17/'18/etc. as features were added and the car got cosmetic refreshes. The way I see it, if I buy the end of the body style I'll feel I got the best of that body style, which is all I'll ever compare mine to. But if I got the new body style at the beginning, I'd just be jealous of later years within my bodystyle. So I figure buy towards the end of a body style (or at least after a cosmetic refresh), then next time you're ready to buy a car, the following generation will be at the point of getting its refresh.

 

I love my 2014 but I am already on the list for a 2015. I like both cars. I have a 2014 Mustang GT and a 2014 Fusion Titanium. Sorry, but i don't see where the new GT is a Fusion GT. Ya'll are blind

So tired of all the complaining about the styling being too modern, being too European or whatever else BS I keep reading. The reality is that baby boomers are getting older and aren't going to keep buying cars that look like the cars of their youth. And there aren't enough younger people like me who like the retro enough to buy it. Mustang sales have been in decline for years and the decline has to hopefully stop. Beyond that, they've already copied the best elements of the 1st gen Mustang for the past 10 model years, so what so you guys want - a new Mustang II, a new Fox?

To survive another 50 years, the car has to evolve and attract buyers from all over the world. It's still got plenty of Mustang cues, plenty of power and is still a Mustang at heart, without a doubt. So get over the styling people because it's not going back to retro any more.

 

I disagree. If Ford keeps sticking to their formula of building decently priced, powerful, and high performing mustangs they will do fine. Changing the design will attract and push away different buyers whether it be retro or modern. I'm excited as to what the new mustang will bring it terms of performance at a solid price point (hopefully). However, I do love looks of the 10-14 mustang compared to the new one. I'm 25 btw.

 

You just don't understand because you're not a TRUE Mustang guy.
