I hate to 'troll' Threads like these but, i'm 62 years old and been disabled since 1992. I've taken the springs off my struts 2 times. First time was 4 years ago when i got my orange Konis, second time was a month ago when i installed my Steeda springs. I used 'hand tools' both times.........Just saying

Believe me I am far from a novice. If it was any other bolt I would go at it with a large breaker bar and yank the thing off. Just being overly cautious as I would rather not slip and smash my fender with the breaker bar. Also I subscribe to the work smarter not harder school of thinking. I can take lug nuts off with a lug wrench but it sure is easier to do it with the impact gun. I think this will take care of it no problem. Just picked this up yesterday and I am sure it will come in handy in the future. 650ft lbs breakaway torque. I don't have a lift and sometimes its pain to work with a large breaker bar.

Don't worry, you should have no problems with that bolt.

Going to do it tomorrow morning. Did the rears today. What a P.I.T.A. the two silver washers that hold the rubber grommets on the top of the shock were not the right size. The center hole was to small. Could not even get it over the threads. One call to steeda, a drill bit and some blood, and they were good to go. Once I drilled the washers to the right size it took all of 35 mins for the rears. Don't know how koni packs them with the wrong washers but all good now.

Never had to much luck with the electric impacts myself I've got my everyday 1/2" got from home depot for $60 and an old school MAC 1" i inherited from my grandfather if that thing won't take it off its not coming off. +1 on supporting the assembly excess sideways pressure can turn that 200ft/lbs into a lot more.

Things like this don't get me to upset. Its all warrantied. Everyones worst problem in life should be having a modified mustang with koni sports that are stuck on their softest setting. Still a massive improvement over stock. Just a minor inconvenience. I do the installs myself so its not like I am paying for labor.
