Is my Oil Level too high??

I just noticed that my oil indicator seems a bit higher than normal (see pic). Is this normal or am I going crazy? I had my oil changed by a Ford Dealer about 4 months ago, 5000 miles. I checked the dipstick but I can't really tell. I wipe it down and try to look but it shows way above marked area. I think it's just smudge that rubs along it so I can't really tell accurately. I always thought that the battery and oil meters were at par but this one seems a bit more now.

I may be wrong, but I think the those gauges all read exactly the same unless they fail.

Gauge measures pressure not level. And they do work.

So, is mine reading normal or a bit above high? What does it mean by higher oil pressure? I did file a bit of idle surge while sitting at a light in Neutral. The car was shaking just a bit but nothing too serious. It stopped once I took off but it was doing it for a minute. I even took a vid. No tune or anything on the car.

The gauge measures pressure. The dipstick measures level. Check the dipstick when the engine is cold, like when you're about to leave for work. There will be less 'stuff' on the sides of the dipstick.

Your oil pressure is fine. In all seriousness it sounds like you might be new to automobiles. I'm thinking you'd best read the manual cover to cover to familiarize yourself with some basics.

Yes, check dipstick when the engine is COLD, the reading tends to be higher when its still warm.
